M1, M2, H1, H2 Designation

“M” indicates thermofused laminate, “H” indicates high pressure laminate.  “1” indicates 1.00” worksurface thickness, “2” indicates 1.50” worksurface thickness.  For example, M2 indicates 1.50” thermofused laminate.

M1, M2, H1, H2 Application

M1 - The worksurface or crown of a product (for instance, the top of a hutch) uses 1.00” thermofused laminate.  Remaining components may use 1.00”, 0.75” or similar thickness depending on application and structural requirements.  Remaining components use thermofused laminate.

M2 - The worksurface or crown of a product (for instance, the top of a hutch) uses 1.50” thermofused laminate.  Remaining components may use 1.50”, 1.00”, 0.75” or similar thickness depending on application and structural requirements.  Remaining components use thermofused laminate.

H1 - The worksurface or crown of a product (for instance, the top of a hutch) uses 1.00” high pressure laminate only.  Remaining components may use 1.00”, 0.75” or similar thickness depending on application and structural requirements.  Remaining components use thermofused laminate, not high pressure laminate.

H2 - The worksurface or crown of a product (for instance, the top of a hutch) uses 1.50” high pressure laminate only.  Remaining components may use 1.50”, 1.00”, 0.75” or similar thickness depending on application and structural requirements.  Remaining components use thermofused laminate, not high pressure laminate.

Special Order Laminates

BRC offers clients the ability to order custom laminates.  A minimum $95 net upcharge per custom laminate, per order applies.  Further charges may be required depending on laminate specifications.  All special order laminates require approval by BRC before order.  Custom laminates are provided on worksurfaces only, without matching trim.  Custom laminate H1 designation does not include a “full wrap” (gables, modesties, trim, etc.) of custom laminate product.  BRC is able to provide a “full wrap” of custom laminate on a per quote basis.  Please contact BRC for details.
